Automatically Detach & Save Email Attatchments

Currently LW saves emails that you save to a matter on the email tab, attachments intact.
In this potential future feature, LW would optionally also detach any attachments and save a copy in the Documents tab of that matter (for instance, in an folder called 'Email Attachments')

I was sort of surprised this isn't already in place. Clients (and opposing counsels) are constantly sending stuff as attachments. This would be a very important feature to add.
I could see, if there are organizational issues with automatically doing this, to at least put in the ability to treat each email as a "folder", that allows you to view the attachments within it, perhaps "cut and copy" like you can with documents, folders and emails already, so you can "cut and copy" certain attachments into documents.
Or perhaps have a folder in documents entitled "Emails," which is organized similarly to the emails and folders in email, but containing documents. So many ways to deal with this.
Honestly, you have some great functionality and meta hooks, where you could add tremendous value here, tying documents to emails and visa-versa. Checking for duplicates. Identifying references between emails and documents. For example, imagine looking at the meta data for a particular document, and seeing an area where you can identify when a specific version of a document was emailed when and to whom? Or, having opposing send a version of a document, and the system figures out it's a new version of an existing document. Wow. You're so close to some powerful features here.

Larry D.: Thank you for the input! This is great feedback. We've actually been ideating around some different way to associated documents and emails, as you describe. Stay tuned!

Even better would be the option to designate where the attachment will be saved within the matter in LW. This would reduce the steps required to get the attachment to the correct folder.

Tim Atler: That's a great idea Tim, an option to select a specific location within a matter. Thank you for the input.
