Save Email via Drag and Drop
Ability to drag and drop an email into the Email tab. Currently users can drag and drop an email into the Documents tob but not the Email tab. Only way we know to save an Outlook email is via the Lex Outlook plug-in.
Notice of creation of notes
Some type of ping feature so that others listed on a matter receive notice every time a new note is created.
Subject line option for "Sharing" files
When sending documents via the "share" function, the email subject matter reads "Documents from ____________". Having the option to allow that default text OR insert your own curated subject line would be a good addition. (example: "Jane vs. Doe - Production of documents"). This would allow (some) attorneys to find documents via outlook alone by subject matter in outlook.
Request / Receive Documents from External Parties
As of 9/27, we have released 'External Sharing', which is provided LexWorkplace users the ability to securely send documents TO an outside party. This new functionality will allow LexWorkplace users to similarly receive documents FROM an outside party (such a a client, outside attorney, etc.) This feature will most likely take the form of 'Request Documents,' where the LexWorkplace users will, from within a matter, send a Document Request to an outside person, giving that external person the ability to send/upload documents directly to LexWorkplace, directly to that matter.
External Sharing - Password Protect Zip File
In the current External Sharing functionality (released 9/27/2022), all documents sent to an outside recipients are encrypted (a) at-rest (in LexWorkplace system) and (b) in-transit (while being downloaded via SSL). This new feature would give the sending user the ability to password protect the zip, as an extra, tertiary level of security for the downloaded/zip file itself (when stored on the recipient's local computer system).
Recycle Bin or Comparable View
Functionality that will show all deleted items, in any Matter, throughout LexWorkplace.
We repeatedly run into the issue where different user accounts are locking documents. No one in our office manually locks a document, but this often happens after someone opens and closes a document. This has resulted in delays and the inability to give clients accurate information. I am requesting a feature that allows a user to request that another user unlock a document. This way, the request/ping/message would go straight to the locking user's computer and they could simply click "unlock". It is not always feasible to interrupt a meeting or a phone call to request that someone unlock a document. This feature would allow easier navigation of the documents.
Sharing multiple files from different folders
I am trying to attach multiple files from different folders in lexworkplace to send to an expert and am unable to do this. I've had to start new folders with the documents I want to share and this is inconvenient. I'd like to be able to go to each folder, check the document I want to share and attach them all to share with experts in one email.
Multi-User Document Editing / Co-Editing / Co-Authoring
Would like to be able to collaborate and have multiple users access / work on the same document.
Upload Entire Folders (with subfolders)
The ability to upload multiple, entire folders to LexWorkplace, via web interface. (Either via drag-drop from the local file system, or via the 'Upload' button.) LexWorkplace would upload folder contents, and maintain the local folder (tree) structure.
