Feature Requests

A LexWorkplace add-in that would allow documents downloaded from the web to be saved to LexWorkplace instead of the local drive first. The add-in could also allow users to upload documents directly from LexWorkplace to websites with ease. For example when electronically filing documents to the courts, the add-in would allow users to upload directly from LexWorkplace by dragging and dropping.

A LexWorkplace add-in (plugin) for Kofax/Nuance. Functionality would include the ability to 'Save/Save-As' PDF documents to LexWorkplace from within the application (rather than saving elsewhere/locally, then dragging to LexWorkplace).

I know you can attach documents from LW to Outlook, but it would save a bunch of clicks if we could just drag from LW right into Outlook. Most people have multiple screens open and so this would be very efficient feature.

The ability to add Tags to an email (similar to documents) as well as the ability to enter internal notes for any given email (also like documents). This would necessitate a Properties screen for emails, similar to Documents, where users could create and enter notes and tags. This would also add a 'Tags' column for the Email tab of a matter.

An option to have the date of the document we're saving stay the same as the email it's coming from. Example: If I receive an e-mail with an attachment on 11/20/2025 and I go to drag/drop it into LWP, it will say 11/20/2025 and not the date I'm saving it (if its after the date the email was sent). Sometimes we don't get to e-mails fast enough and have to go back and save a few days later.

The ability to use the Save As button in Word to save a file into LexWorkplace instead of moving the document over from your download file, this is too many steps. I had a document up and wanted to create a PDF using the same name. I tried the feature - Confert To PDF in LexWorkplace. When I looked at the document it put a number 1 in the documents. It was not the same as my original document.

When saving a document from Word, Outlook, Excel, etc; there should be a prompt that comes up to name and pick the document tags/type. This would cut down on a lot of time when it comes to saving documents.

Integration between LW and Tabs3/PracticeMaster. Potential functionality includes: * When clients or matters are created in one system or the other, they are copied to the other. This may be one-directional or bi-directional. Data fields that are copied could include Client/Matter Name, Client/Matter ID, Matter Type, Opened Date, Closed Date. * Creation of documents (document assembly/automation) that can be saved directly to LexWorkplace.

There should be an option to collectively type/tag multiple documents at the same time. For example - I have a file that has a whole bunch of records and bills that were never categorized in Worldox. I'd like to be able to select all them and type/tag them at once instead of doing it individually.

I've perform uploads of folders with 100+ and sometimes 1000+ documents and some documents fail to upload. Then, I need to step through each document to figure out which one didn't upload and upload that file individually.
