Feature Requests

The ability to easily email documents saved on LexWorkplace to other LexWorkplace users for purposes of allowing editing of documents. Currently, the only way to email a document is to download the document and then attach it to an email. A drag and drop feature, a link that opens the document itself (not merely the folder in which it sits), or some other feature enable easy edits between users would be very helpful.

(Note that Document Preview functionality is currently in development as of June 2022. The following proposed functionality would be in addition to / apart from this.) The ability to open PDF documents inline, in the LexWorkplace interface (browser), and the ability to click through and see each page. This would be as opposed to the current functionality, where PDF files open in your default PDF application (typically Adobe Acrobat), in a separate Window. This

The ability to generate a report or export of document operations by user, matter, and/or date range. Reporting and logging of OPEN, SAVE, and DOWNLOAD operations, filterable by user, matter and date range.

Functionality where users can mark a document as 'To Review,' then define who needs to review it. And/or, the ability to assign documents to one or more users (similar to assigning staff to a matter) Documents assigned to users in this way would appear in those users' Home Screen, in a new dashboard/widget called, simply, 'Documents To Review' or 'Documents Assigned to Me' Further functionality may include the ability to check a document as 'complete' when the assigned user is complete. This could also tie into the 'Document Status' drop-down in some way. Additional user input welcome.

In addition to the column that lists the number of attachments an email has, include an icon (like the little paperclip) for easy visual of which emails have attachments and which don't. Preferably right next to the little envelope icon.

Ability to save files larger than 5g.

The ability to "pin," or mark as favorite, specific clients. These clients would appear in a 'Favorite Clients' view or elsewhere in a manner that makes those clients front-and-center. Similarly, the ability to see all recently viewed clients.

Functionality that shows, for each folder in LexWorkplace, the number of items within that folder, in parentheses. For instance the following three example folders may look like: Customer Agreements (3) Discovery Documents (42) Motions (0)

The ability to block highlight and move multiple emails into the file at one time.

I'm really glad to have the Word/Excel integration to be able to save documents directly to Lex. However, why can I not name the document I'm saving as part of that process? If I start from a template I have to save it into Lex with the default name created by Word and then go into Lex and rename the document. Naming the document when saving it is a crucial part of the process.
