Feature Requests

The ability to select multiple documents at once (which exists now), and then batch-apply properties to all selected documents. Examples include adding a document Tag or applying a particular document Status or Type.

Optional functionality where users MUST enter specified document properties when saving/uploading to LW. For instance, you could require that any new document be given a Document Type. If implemented, this feature could be universally enabled or disabled for your firm. This could also apply to a client or matter (making certain fields required).

I would like to have the ability to apply a default signature to the e-mail that is used when sharing files through LexWorkplace. Having to type name, firm name, contact info, etc. is time consuming. Being able to personalize it to match other firm communications would be nice. Also, if the client or other recipient has problems or questions, there is no information for them to contact us. It also makes the communication look like someone might be phishing.

The ability to grant user permissions on a more granular level within Firm Documents and Private.

A LexWorkplace add-in (plugin) for Adobe Acrobat. Functionality would include the ability to 'Save/Save-As' PDF documents to LexWorkplace from within the Acrobat application (rather than saving elsewhere/locally, then dragging to LexWorkplace).

The ability to "pin," or mark as favorite, specific clients. These clients would appear in a 'Favorite Clients' view or elsewhere in a manner that makes those clients front-and-center. Similarly, the ability to see all recently viewed clients.

Currently, if you open a document from LW to work on it, it creates a new "version" every time you click save. This feature would create a new version only when the document is closed (rather than needing to save a copy and upload the copy.)

Currently, when you click an email in the Email tab of a matter, LexWorkpalce downloads the email file, which the user must click again to open in Outlook (unless the user has configured their browser to automatically open downloaded files). In this Feature Request, LexWorkplace would automatically open emails with Outlook, saving the user a click.

We would like to see the ability to right click in the tags column and add tags like Draft or Final without having to open up the file properties to do so.

When downloading a folder that contains files that have been deleted from LWP, the downloaded ZIP file contains all of the previously deleted items. Since LWP merely 'hides' the files rather than truly deleting them, the download feature seems to grab all files in a folder, even if hidden. Unless the setting to show deleted files is turned on, downloading the folder should not also download the deleted items. Our firm often downloads folders to make document review easier or when creating trial exhibits. When a downloaded folder contains deleted items, it makes it very difficult to determine which are the active files.
