This is a critical feature. Often a document needs to be saved before a desired file structure with folders can be created. The steps necessary to then move the documents into the appropriate folder, even within the same matter, is too time consuming.

LexWorkplace team - also if you copy/paste, the document still exists in the previous folder, so people can edit both copies and the changes are not reflected unless you go back and delete that folder. So many steps.

Rebecca Spence: Thank you for the feedback. That's the intended functionality. What you may want to do is CUT and then paste (which does not leave the original folder behind.
Copy / Paste -> Makes a copy
Cut / Paste -> Moves the document(s)/folder(s)

Hi Molly, thanks for sharing!
Note that you CAN move documents between folders by selecting a file/folder/multiple, selecting Action > Copy, browse to the destination, then Action > Paste.
Let us know if you need any help.

LexWorkplace Product Team: Thank you! This helps! But what if we want to drag from Lex to our desktop document folders? It appears we can drag stuff in, but not out.
LexWorkplace Product Team
Molly Adams: That's right, drag-drop doesn't work from web-browser to local file system/desktop. You can download files individually, and in an upcoming release (most likely yet in July) you'll have the ability to download multiple files/folders at once.
