The ability to share a document (or multiple documents, folders) with an outside party, such as a client, an of-counsel attorney, opposing party, or other external person.
This will likely take the form of users selecting one or more files/folders, selecting 'Share With Outside Party,' and providing an email address to securely send the document(s) to.

Will this also include the function to drag docs from LW to DropBox / DocuSign or other similar third party sites? If not, this function also needs to be added.

Allison Surowitz: Hi Allison. This specific features speaks to the ability to share documents with outside parties (or request/receive from outside parties). We do have a Feature Request for DocuSign integration, which I encourage you to up-vote.

LexWorkplace Product Team: Will every third party app need its own feature integration? Separate for dropbox, docusign, docsend, and the countless other apps that parties regularly use to execute and share documents? From LegalWorks I would just be able to drag from my folder to the app. I rely on that function several times a day - now i'm required to save to my desktop and drag over, this is not a sustainable way to operate.

Allison Surowitz: Yes, for any DIRECT integration (IE: app A talks directly to app B), we'd need to develop the integration. For any others, yes, the download from LexWorkplace then upload to App B is the appropriate process.

LexWorkplace Product Team: another fail. The transition from legal works to lex has been a disaster and my entire way of operating is not supported. The whole reason I have a cloud management is so I don’t have to use my local drive, but now I’m forced to rely on my local drive which is causing endless issues and wasting so much time.

I want to be able to send documents from Lex securely with a cover email to include in the email folder as proof I sent it and that will also advise me when the documents have been downloaded and identify who downloaded them.
